We found a shop selling traditional Berber rugs and cushions near the tanneries in Fez, the owner has been situated there for 30 years and has been selling to locals and travellers alike.
Working with the Berber people who are living in the Atlas Mountains, he offers a range of designs, but each cushion is completely unique as the artisans do not work to one specific design.
Note: the cushions do not have zips, as cushion covers are usually stuffed with old clothes and sheets in Morocco. Feel free to stuff as the Moroccan's do (it's a great way to reuse old clothes you cannot donate) or carefully unpick the side so you can insert a cushion and then sew back up.
Burnt orange on back of cushion, bold Aztec print on front. Tassel detail on the corners.
